Faizyme specialises in the extraction and purification of enzymes from plant materials and animal organs for application in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and related industries.

When founded in May 1994, the company commenced the extraction of multi-ton quantities of horseradish per day and the purification of Peroxidase for the diagnostic industry. Resulting from the introduction of innovative technology and in-process controls, Faizyme's Peroxidase, with enhanced stability characteristics, was qualified by a number of internationally recognised manufacturers of diagnostic test systems.

Faizyme now manufactures a range of enzymes and has established its reputation and position in the international market as a supplier of competitively priced quality products. In May 2006, Faizyme relocated its offices and manufacturing to new custom-designed facilities with increased capacity to meet the growing demand for its products.
